Peak

While at gyro, I was asked to join the Peak team to develop film concepts for their Lifeblood series showcasing the crews that make John Force racing happen.

The Lifeblood of John Force

The concept of engine oil as the “lifeblood” of a vehicle is common in the automotive industry, emphasizing its role in engine longevity and performance.

Since Peak is a motor oil company, this lead to a natural connection to the crews that maintain and support John Force Racing, one of the most successful teams in drag racing history, founded by 16-time Funny Car champion John Force.

Once that connection was pitched and approved, we set out to build a robust narrative showing how every component works together to mobilize the team and sustain peak performance at the highest level.

Christian PaHud

Peak wanted a film team to capture their Stock Car Dreams competition, designed to showcase amateur (“grassroots”) drivers and provide a pathway for advancing their racing careers. The focus was to highlight Peak’s sponsored driver, Christian PaHud, so we built a narrative around his background and his readiness to meet this challenge.

I traveled to California, hired a small local crew, and set out to capture the story as it unfolded, then guided my vision through post, culminating in this film being a hit with Peak, and an excellent showcase of Christian winning his NASCAR competition debut.
